Kimberly Parker, MS, Doctoral Candidate, LPC-S, LCDC, EMDR-Trained

Kimberly Parker (she/her) is a counselor educator, clinician, clinical supervisor, researcher, speaker, trainer, and entrepreneur whose work centers culturally responsive mental healthcare, counselor development, and creating systems of care in which clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

Kimberly is the Founder and CEO of Revive to Thrive Wellness Center, a Texas-based counseling, clinical supervision, consultation, and continuing education practice. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and EMDR-trained clinician, she has experience working across residential, intensive outpatient, community mental health, and private practice settings with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. Her clinical areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, grief and loss, life transitions, and culturally responsive care. 

Kimberly is also the Founder and CEO of The Healthcare GreenBook™, a national, equity-centered initiative designed to help transform culturally responsive mental healthcare from a stated value into demonstrated practice. The Healthcare GreenBook integrates provider and organizational assessment, training, implementation, and accountability to strengthen culturally affirming systems of care.

As a counselor educator, Kimberly has taught undergraduate and graduate counseling courses, including Diversity Awareness, Counseling Theories, and Crisis and Trauma, and has provided clinical supervision to master's-level counseling students and provisionally licensed counselors. Her teaching and supervision emphasize cultural responsiveness, critical consciousness, trauma-informed practice, ethical decision-making, and counselor development.

Kimberly is a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of North Texas, with degree conferral anticipated in Spring 2027. Her research focuses on decolonial and culturally responsive counseling practices, counselor education and critical consciousness development, BIPOC clinician development, culturally responsive supervision, therapeutic alliance and client retention, and organizational accountability in mental healthcare.

As a speaker and trainer, Kimberly has presented nationally on culturally responsive counseling, decolonizing mental healthcare, cultural humility, critical consciousness, trauma, CBT, and counselor development. Her work has included presentations for professional counseling organizations, universities, behavioral health organizations, and the Yale School of Medicine.

Kimberly also maintains an active commitment to leadership and service within the counseling profession. She serves as a Senator for Texas Counselors for Social Justice (TxCSJ) and has held leadership and service roles focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice, and professional development at the state, regional, and national levels.

Across each area of her work, Kimberly is committed to moving culturally responsive care beyond awareness and good intentions and toward meaningful changes in how clinicians are educated, how organizations operate, and how clients experience mental healthcare.
