Just a few questions:
- Are you looking to talk about difficult topics with someone other than friends or family?
- Are you struggling with identity and self-worth?
- Do you experience feelings of loneliness even when surrounded by others?
- Do you want compassionate accountability to reach goals to feel more in control of your life?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, let’s work together to identify and learn techniques to better manage and recognize those thoughts and feelings. As your therapist, I’ll strive to provide an environment of healing where we can gain valuable insight and work together.
I will incorporate activities that empower you to practice the skills we learn and apply them to your daily life. I work from a Person-Centered approach, which means I put you first as a person, treat you with respect, and provide a nonjudgmental environment where you can grow, learn, and shape your own potential.
More About Your Therapist:
I am in the process of completing my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Gaining experience as a practicum student and now intern, I have worked with teens and adults in settings such as private practice, schools, and community mental health. I utilized evidenced-based modalities Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy. After working with a wide range of clients, I have come to appreciate using an eclectic approach so that I can better meet your needs by curating a personal therapy approach to give you the treatment you need.
Counseling can be an incredibly transformative and healing experience, but it also requires courage and strength in vulnerability. I am grateful for the opportunity to work closely with you to discover your unique strengths and meaning, overcome difficult life experiences, and achieve mental, emotional, and behavioral wellness. Throughout our counseling relationship, I will foster an environment of warmth, authenticity, acceptance, and non-judgment while working together to address whatever is weighing on your mind. My counseling style involves the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and person-centered techniques, and I am particularly interested in working with young adult and adult clients to overcome issues of identity exploration and development. I look forward to connecting with you!
When I am not counseling, I am whipping up a new recipe in the kitchen, as cooking is my jam, and spending time with my husband and sweet baby girl. My guilty pleasure is reality TV with a side of bubble tea. I enjoy writing and love a Colleen Hoover read.
The journey is never easy, but together we can ensure you get to the right destination. I will always be there to listen and offer you a safe space to vent or discuss any struggles or experiences you may have on your mind. My therapy always has your best interest at heart.
I know it may feel like life sucks sometimes, but remind yourself that you are capable of getting through anything and won’t feel like this forever. Healing can be difficult, but with me by your side, you will not have to do it alone. Let’s work together and make some positive changes in your life today.
